Corneal Transplants

Corneal transplantation plays an integral role in restoring the clarity of the front window of the eye (cornea) or as a structural support when infection, inflammation or trauma has caused damage to the cornea.

Dr Trinh is highly experienced in the full suite of corneal transplantation techniques including ocular surface regeneration. This includes partial and full thickness corneal transplantation, stem cell transplantation, and amniotic membrane transplantation.

Dr Trinh has been appointed the Keratoprosthesis Surgeon for Australia’s only corneal prosthesis clinic based at Sydney Eye Hospital. Established by Dr Gregory Moloney in 2014, Dr Trinh works in conjunction with Dr Colin Clement (glaucoma surgeon) and Dr Mark Gorbatov (vitreoretinal surgeon) to provide a multidisciplinary service for our most vulnerable bilaterally blind patients.
